Zaatar Thyme Mix, Brown, Zatter (Baraka) 17.5 oz- (Zaatar) (Za’atar)

If an American palate gets a bit stale, grab a bit of the Middle East with this and you won't be disappointed! This seasoning is awesome...put it on pita with some olive oil, put it on chicken or beef. It is also good mixed with some olive oil and spread over homemade bread. Zatter is traditionally dried in the sun and mixed with salt, sesame seeds and sumac. This mixture is commonly spread on a dough base and baked as a bread. It is also used as a seasoning for meats and vegetables or sprinkled into hummus. A salad made of fresh zatter leaves is also popular throughout the Levant. 

Ingredients: thyme leaves, roasted wheat, roasted sesame, coriander, fennel, dill seed, caraway, salt, citric acid, paprika, sunflower oil.  Contains wheat, sesame.
