This shredded dough is used for making kataifi, a pastry filled with nuts and covered in honey, similar to baklava. Want to get creative? Put a new twist on traditional fillo! Form this shredded dough into cones, shells or nests, or layer it in traditional dishes like baklava for a unique texture.
Remove a small amount of kataifi (angel hair) from the bag and straighten it by pulling slightly with both hands in opposite directions. Be careful! Always work with small amounts of kataifi and in the meantime, cover the product with moist fabric.
