Loukoumi, a chewy candy dusted in powdered sugar, is the Greek version of the so-called "Turkish Delight". This rubbery-textured candy is extremely popular throughout Greece. Loukoumi is a common traditional treat, routinely served instead of biscuits along with Turkish coffee or a glass of water. It is made from gelatin or corn starch, sugar, honey and fruit juice or jelly, and is often tinted pink.
