This traditional yet versatile flat bread is the perfect choice for making gyros or deli-type sandwiches. It can also be used in making creative dishes such as tacos, pizza, and sweet treats, or it can simply be served with salads as part of a balanced meal. Pitas are best pan fried with some olive oil, but they are also great baked or toasted.
