This brightly colored box is festive and elegant, that contains panettone, when traslated from Italian, means "big bread". When panettone appears, the holidays are here! The bread can be eaten as a dessert or snack. Traditionally, panettone is served after the Christmas day feast or on Santo Stefano (that is, December 26th, a national holiday in Italy), but it is also served on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. There is just one caveat: since very few people have any room left for dessert after these feasts, panettone is mostly eaten in the mornings with caffe latte or cappuccino, or as a snack with an afternoon espresso.
